I just got my engine back together after a partial rebuild (rings, bearings, gaskets). I've connected a fuel pressure gauge to the shrader valve on the fuel rail and I have no pressure when I turn the key or try and start it. Where should I start my trouble-shooting?

Put power straight to the pump; you'll know for sure whether the pump is good/bad and can then concentrate what may be wrong with the electronics.
I have 6v to the pump, is that normal?. Due to running out of time, I did not pull the pump out to test it separately, but the fact that I have power and couldn't hear it run and there was no pressure at the fuel rail, it would seem to be a bad pump.
