Hello everyone

I'm currently a new member of the forum. I recently purchased a very clean 2004 HSE Black. I've read about changing the diff oil, trans fluid and engine oil. Is this something I can do myself? I'm pretty mechanically inclined with cars.

Thank You

Nick

Your first assignment....

Download RAVE

It is a Godsend! Everything you need to know is in that couple thousand page manual. Just google it there are 3 or 4 sites that offer it. Best of luck. I am semi-new to the range world too and it is a great place to be!

Anyone know where you can find the manuals online for a MY2006 HSE? Looks like what I can find doesn't address 06 and forward.

Thanks

I'm not certain because i have an 05, but i think they are fairly similar... I think most of the changes were in the electronics? I'm probably wrong but did you try downloading it and checking it out?

I spoke with this shop owner who does my Jag service. I asked him about the trans fluid and he told me its a synthetic oil and doesn't need changing. By changing the fluid it would disrupt the "dirt" that is in the trans or something along those lines. Does this sound right or not?

Here are a few low quality pictures I took this afternoon up on Mulholland .
