Hey guys,

I am very pleased to be able to join this community , my family has long been an acura/lexus one and I'm the first one to branch out and acquire a LR RR. I love the truck, it's a Black 2003 RR HSE, and it feels good to drive it.

I am however having difficulties with my parking sensors, when I put my car in reverse the back speakers beep for a couple of seconds warning that the sensors are being turned on I guess (like on my TL), but after that nothing...it won't start beeping for the front or back sensors. Is something just disconnected, fuse?

Thanks for the help and I look forward to posting more and more on this forum.

to check your parking sensors, switch the ignition on [not the engine] then select reverse and listen to each sensor..the sensor should make a 'clicking ' sound, if it doe s not then that sensor or wiring to it is faulty....

I don't understand this...

I've had my '03 for a few years. When I put it in reverse, I hear no beeps unless there is something within a couple of feet of either bumber, or there's something wrong with your "Park Distance Control" system

If you hear a series of beeps right after going to reverse or pushing the button on your lower-right center console to activate thet PDC, AND if there's nothing near your bumpers, that's the indication that there's a fault with your system. I found this out after having my bumper paited and the "premium service" shop damaged a connector pin when they re-installed the harness.
That said, to answer your question - Yes, it could be something disconnected or a fuse (Fuse # 6 in the glove box fuse panel). As with anything in a Land Rover product, it could also be any of the many remotely related parts or systems that figure into the PDC system
