New Grill for 2004 Rover

17092 Views 23 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  maverixz
Hi

I've been looking to replace the grill on my 04 rover. I've search through the site and looks like getting the supercharged grill on looks to be a hassle ( or not fit at all). I was wondering?

1. can the grill of the range rover sport fit a 2004 HSE?

2. any one buy the grill on ebay, they look like cheap plastic though

any help would be appreciate

If you're looking for opinions, I wouldn't change it. Adding later year parts on an older RR makes it less desirable IMO. It's a classic design, why pimp it. You're not fooling anyone that knows or cares.

seeing as how he already has chromed his fender vents and running boards, and added blingbling wheels... i don't think "originality" and "class" are a factor here

the person who posted this did not " chromed his fender vents and running boards, and added blingbling wheels"
i know from doing some research on the board this is a touchy subject. but with someone who has done a conversion from a 2004 to a 2006 Supercharged mind PM me to share some advise on the topic. what's needed, gotchas...etc
New to this site, I own a 2004 Range Rover and am looking to convert to the 2006 grill. Can anyone tell me if this is possible and if so, what are the steps and parts included in making this happen.

I think what you mean is you tacked on some plastic bits to make your RR look like an 06 S/C to someone that knows very little about RRs. That's not a conversion from an 04 to an 06 S/C, unless you dropped in the S/C engine, brakes, and suspension.
hey rem, what's the point of your posting? yes you have a 2010 sc good for you. do i not have the right to do what i want to do with my vehicle? doesn't affect you does it? move on
 ...and here we go again.

:hand: If folks wanna pimp out their rig with stuff that was never meant to be on them, let 'em. Folks don't buy Rangies for resale, so what ever stuff they do to their own rigs is just money out of their pocket to make themselves happy.

So, would anyone like to banter about off road tyres or coil spring conversions?

You've been a member here for 2 months with a whopping 9 posts to your name...so I'm going to suggest that you're not in a position to invite people to move on.

 and you have been a member for over 4 years with only 477 posts to your name. I would suggest you leave the guy alone. If you don't like the subject matter you don't have to respond.

Picking an internet fight is like picking your nose. It only serves one person and everyone else could care less what comes out of it.

Heres my Supercharged type grille (covers part of the headlights on 02-05 RR) form Powerful UK (eBay).

I went for the all black version which I still think looks the dogs dangleys. Very easy to fit too.

Habenero,

I like that front grille. Did they stop selling those? I can't find it in the US or UK. Do you know who you bought it from? Thanks
I like that front grille as well.. IMO, it looks way better than the rectangular one that doesn't cover the lights.

I think people should do whatever they feel makes them happy to their cars... I used to have a VW GTI VR6, 10 or so years ago and I remember I put a ton of work into it and looking back it was a lot of fun. Perhaps there is a difference between adding minor body tweaks and imitating a newer year vehicle... maybe some can argue that body mods are tacky and don't belong on RRs, but it all boils down to a subjective opinion...like one poster said, different strokes for different folks.. If I had a 2005 or below, I would upgrade the vents and side markers to a 06+ and perhaps upgrade the tail-lamp and on a later day upgrade the tail-lamps. I would leave the grille and original head-lamps alone as it is a classic look like another poster said... this way you get the best of both worlds, updating your 03 to a 06 look (HSE) and not really "faking" it to make it look like an SC. In fact I am selling vents and sidemarkers, check out the threads in the mkIII for sale forum!

... just my two sense.

ps, found this site that might have what you are looking for in terms of SC grilles... funny URL.... but hey they sell the kits you're looking for

http://www.pimpmyrange.co.uk/products/s ... e-p-3.html

also click on the 'grille' menu there are more there similar, different colors, etc.. hope this helps
Thanks 05RR. I found that site and one called powerfuluk.com but can't get in touch with them to ask if they ship to the U.S.

I personally am not trying to make mine look like a supercharged or fake something my car isn't but I just like the style better.
