I'm based in the US and ordered the SE 3.0L PHEV with the upgraded Semi-Aniline Perlino leather. I've seen the leather samples in the showroom but have not yet seen the Semi-Aniline on an actual car. I know Semi-Aniline is softer and shows more of the grain, but does it actually look good in the car? Does the Windsor look better? I've also read the Windsor has a painted on finish vs the Semi-Aniline where the pigment is naturally occurring. Is this true? Does the Semi-Aniline wear better than Windsor? (e.g Less cracking, etc.)

In my experience, semi—aniline wears more naturally, while the Windsor gets more “shiny” over time as it’s the dye coating wearing rather than dyed leather itself.

I have the semi-aniline and the truck is “built” so hopefully I’ll have some real world experience soon enough.

windsor not as soft and color comes off with hard rubbing since it sits on top of the leather. it is a less expensive leather.

semi aniline- the dye has been absorbed into the leather about 1/3 way at least. softer. will last longer looking better and will be more resistant to cleaning and spills.

no contest.
