Picked up a 2010 RR sport -- Santorini Black with Ivory interior, lux package and extended leather package. Yes I know, the two highest maintenance color choices possible. But I'm up for it as I actually enjoy detailing my cars. And it doesn't really rain much where I am.

I came from a 2008 Audi S5 with pearl silver leather interior. I found the light leather very easy to clean and it looked great so I hope the Sport's leather is as easy to clean. Gotta stay on top of it though.

Anyway, passing on my initial impressions. This vehicle is amazing. Performance is surprisingly good considering the 5800 pounds of weight and high center of gravity. It's my first offroad/suv so the driving experience is new to me. I really like it despite going from a manual transmission to the automatic. Despite the fact that the overall shape has been around for a while, I still think it's the best looking offroad vehicle out there -- even better than the full size. The interior is beautiful and I would say slightly better than my Audi was. The extended leather on the upper dash and doors certainly helps add to the luxury feel but even the dials and buttons have a nice tactile feel to them. I also think the ambient lighting in the doors are a nice touch.

No gremlins... yet. Although I don't know if it's my imagination but the glovebox looks to be a very slightly darker Ivory than the section surrounding it. No squeaks or rattles either. I'd post pictures but who hasn't seen a Black RR sport??? This forum was a great resource while I made up my mind to buy it.

Congrats!

I have black w/ Ivory as well. It's a great color combination but also a pain to keep clean. My jeans keep darkening the driver's seat.

My color combination too.....very classy.
I am close to 4K miles and no gremlins either (other than front seats that go back different amounts).
I'll be posting some pics when I get new wheels on it.

I was expecting that. The dye would come off a bit and transfer to my audi seats but I was amazed at how easily it came off with the cleaner and conditioner I bought on their website. But maybe not all the leather seats are treated the same way. My old seats were almost white:

^^^Now that is one tasty interior.^^^

Congratulations on your purchase.

And, I'm with you on this site being of great resource; it helped me on deciding as well.

Also, glad to hear that there are no gremlins yet; goes to say how important a thorough walk-thru is!

Again, congrats!

Thank you so much! There are very few cars on the road that I actually like, at least ones that I can afford. I didn't get psyched out about the reputation for less than stellar reliability. Stuff is going to go wrong but it's under warranty for a while and I hope the LR service is good. I'm sure I'll find out eventually.

You are very welcome. I've got my mind set on the RRS, but I saw a video of the new 2010 Jaguar XJ...now that is an interior! However, it does not go where the road ends (not that I will be traveling that way very often). The Caviar color is to die for! I'm of mind to wait on getting the RRS in order to get the XJ SC, but I'm done with sedans for the time being (I think 8~ ).

That's a good question from up above. What made you leave the Audi?

The Audi S5 is an amazing car. I couldn't find one thing about that I would change or to complain about. But we had two two-door cars and it's a pain to put a six month old in the back of the coupe. So, it was mostly about space, comfort, and something that is actually nice to look at which led me to the Sport.
