Picked up a 2010 RR sport -- Santorini Black with Ivory interior, lux package and extended leather package. Yes I know, the two highest maintenance color choices possible. But I'm up for it as I actually enjoy detailing my cars. And it doesn't really rain much where I am.
I came from a 2008 Audi S5 with pearl silver leather interior. I found the light leather very easy to clean and it looked great so I hope the Sport's leather is as easy to clean. Gotta stay on top of it though.
Anyway, passing on my initial impressions. This vehicle is amazing. Performance is surprisingly good considering the 5800 pounds of weight and high center of gravity. It's my first offroad/suv so the driving experience is new to me. I really like it despite going from a manual transmission to the automatic. Despite the fact that the overall shape has been around for a while, I still think it's the best looking offroad vehicle out there -- even better than the full size. The interior is beautiful and I would say slightly better than my Audi was. The extended leather on the upper dash and doors certainly helps add to the luxury feel but even the dials and buttons have a nice tactile feel to them. I also think the ambient lighting in the doors are a nice touch.
No gremlins... yet. Although I don't know if it's my imagination but the glovebox looks to be a very slightly darker Ivory than the section surrounding it. No squeaks or rattles either. I'd post pictures but who hasn't seen a Black RR sport??? This forum was a great resource while I made up my mind to buy it.
