Similar experience here, except it was a loose chassis ground wire, not the battery. Would cause a cascade of error messages, reset itself, and then start all over again. Took the techs ten hours to diagnose the problem (they didn't charge me for all the time, because they felt stupid for not checking the ground sooner. It's a little bolt right there on the driver's side wheel housing). Twist of wrench, no more problems.
