OK...so I traded my 03 HSE in for a 09 RR Supercharged. Now the electronics and suspension system are going haywire...we are talking less than a week...200 miles. On a 10 minute ride had about 20 faults displayed. Height adjustments...kept trying to go to off road mode, kept going into extended mode, all without any inputs from the driver. Then the Nav screen kept showing green only and then started rolling like the vertical hold was off. Also have a clunking and thud coming from the front of the vehicle when driving....So my question is what is my recourse? Is it out of the question to ask for a new car? Sticker was 97k, got it for way less, but still, I shouldnt be experiencing these kinda problems with a Scion, let alone a 6 figure vehicle. This was just my last drive...also all kinds of suspension faults, Headlight faults, TPMS faults, and Nav and electronic problems. It seems that after a few days, all presets to the Sat system disappear, and then they have to be re-entered. Steering wheel stops coming down after a while, stays up in entry mode intermittently....sounds like a lemon to me...again...advice? Should I stop payment on my down payment check? Kinda want to have some ideas before I go in tomorrow. It was having problems from day one and I called the sales manager and he said that it was basically like a computer and needed to reboot itself...but the problems are escalating now...not going away....

Re: Need HELP and ADVICE....NEW Rover is having MAJOR problems!

Any of the battery connections loose? I had mine in for service earlier this year and they didnt tighten one of the cables - caused all sorts of issues. Good luck.

x2 on battery connections or a duff battery.

Give your dealer one chance, then get them to swap it or money back etc...

Similar experience here, except it was a loose chassis ground wire, not the battery. Would cause a cascade of error messages, reset itself, and then start all over again. Took the techs ten hours to diagnose the problem (they didn't charge me for all the time, because they felt stupid for not checking the ground sooner. It's a little bolt right there on the driver's side wheel housing). Twist of wrench, no more problems.

Good luck.

you're not out of line to ask that it be fixed, or replaced. but you do need to give them the chance to fix it first. i would say if you have had a couple of trips to the shop at your inconvenience and you feel that the car is simply not right for whatever reason, then start asking about a replacement. guage it by how they are treating you... if they are being accommodating and apologetic and helpfull then give them more benefit of the doubt. if they are being defensive and irritating then make a stink. remeber al pacino in scent of a woman? "I'LL TAKE A FLAMETHROWER TO THIS PLACE!!!!!". my dealer told me that i couldn't get a loaner car when i dropped my '06 off for the final detail and brake repair they owed me. i took the latter approach. good luck!

Probably a battery issue, don't panic, take it in they'll take care of it.
