The display says "Navigation not fitted". I thought the disk might of been missing and I bought one and when I try to put it in the DVD holder it wont open door and take DVD. Acts as if there is no power to unit. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Is it common for the units to go bad? For all I know there already is a disk in the unit but maybe don't work? Maybe a hint on how to approach this issue? New to this Forum and LOVE IT!!

Re: Navigation Reads "Navigation not fitted" HELP!

First, check the obvious: Connection behind the DVD player (easily accessible from behind the driver's seat) to make sure a socket didn't get knocked off, and infotainment system fuses - consult your manual.

Re: Navigation Reads "Navigation not fitted" HELP!

The 'nav not fitted' message indicates that the screen cannot communicate with the DVD unit. This can be due to the component failing, or a wiring issue.

The two ECUs communicate via a private CAN bus, and I have ran into issues with the power supply for the DVD unit being corroded in the RH sill plate.
