This is probably an issue that could be addressed in most of the current model line up threads but I'll start with the issue here as my truck is a '17 RRS.


I really only need my GPS for time, best routes, traffic and have all my alerts set to off. However when I near an exit or intersection, etc the radio lowers but not audible alert gets played. Is there a way that I can set the GPS to NOT alert at all. I listen to a lot of talk radio and I can not stand when the radio lowers. Kind of pointless for me since glancing at the map is easier than reading directions. I actually only have the map displayed with not word directions or auto zooming set.

I always mute the GPS. Like you, I mostly use it to give me an ETA, not specifically for directions.
After you have the destination, click the Nav option icon in the lower left, one of the options will be "mute" there

Not sure how I missed that. I even read the manual.

Thanks. That will really help on my long drives.
