Nano EVII opinions

It's a long story ..........

Anyway, I bought two licences at a good discount, and use Nano regularly, but can't claim to know it as well as I'd like.

I didn't know about the Nano EVII ...... typical story!

So, how to answer your question?

Nano:

Compact unit
Complicated connection to PC, too many cables, usb to serial conversion. Bluetooth just doesn't work properly, although it could be my laptop.
Software very comprehensive.

What does Nano do that Evo can't?

If i may be allowed to Clarify things a little.

The origional Nanocom, now referred to as the Nanocom one was a small and quite crude painted steel box with a simple 2 line by 16 wide display and four buttons.

It was replaced by the Nanocom Evolution, which was a larger plastic box with a 4 inch full color touch screen screen on it, but was still quite crude.

After being discontinued at the end of January 2011, Under BBS ownership, This was replaced with a very much facelifted version in a quite desirable slim black Ally extrusion that many refer to as the Nanocom Evolution II or EVII as you prefer and is what you see on the link.

As the face lifed version of the Nanocom Evolution is electronically and functionally identical to it's predecessor, and we did not change the pricing for it over the cost of it's predecessor, we do not make note of the fact that the unit we actually supply after mid 2011 it is a revised / updated version, hence in the BBS web shop The Nanocom Evolution 2 or EVII is still referred to simply as the Nanocom Evolution.

In short, the crude stuff is long gone
