A Service Action campaign for MY2010 and 2011 RRS and LR4 vehicles fitted with Vision Assist / surround camera system and plagued by the infamous "Blue Screen Of Death" problem, has been issued today by LRNA.

As a reminder, a "Service Action" is not quite a safety recall - you probably won't get a notice in the mail if your vehicle is affected - but it's more than a Technical Service Bulletin. Upon your next regularly scheduled service visit, if your vehicle is fitted with factory surround cameras and within the specified VIN range, this bulletin will automatically pop up on your SA's computer screen and they will be required to do the detailed repair (unless this work was previously performed, of course) before releasing the vehicle back to you.

Ahh, the blue screen. I had my 2011 FFRR in for this last week. They had to order new "camera cables" for mine. I would have thought the LR4/RRS and FFRR would use the same system and parts.
