Hi everybody. I have a 96 p38. I am trying to install an Alpine aftermarket radio. I seek information about the attenuation circuit to work with my door mounted amplifiers and sub woofer.

I am thinking amp in each door like mine, you will need this

Go from aftermarkrt to low level unit (only turn the dials 25%) then to speaker and other wires.
For the sub you go from the back of the radio to the sub speaker with this

You will ground the radio and ground the adapter if you have a humming sound
Mine sounds incredible and I have a LR bass out at the moment.
Good Luck!

I put an Alpine head unit in mine..
You can ignore the fact that the P38 has amplifiers, just don't turn up the volume up to high.

I cut stock plug for the radio off and soldered the Alpine one to it.
You have to figure out yourself what goes on what, what I can remember is that the color code was not logic..

The Alpine with the stock Harman Kardon sounds real good!!
