my 08's passenger side air bag is on a recall and rover will replace it at no charge
i am a little worried about having them tear my car apart to change it with them not knowing if current bag is even bad

is this something that i should have done and what should i watch out for?

thanks

There is nothing to "tear apart". Changing out a passenger air bag is little more than removing the dash pad a few mountings and unplugging it.

JLR Portland did mine a few months ago. I also know of another that was done shortly after mine.

thanks, those replies put me more at ease. I have a friend that is a master tech at a dealer and i hear horror stories of hoe th beat flat rate on warranty jobs. was thinking they had to remove the dash which sounded like a lot chance to mess something up
dash pad sounds easier
they are doing a front brake line recall also
