Moving to lr3?

So does anyone have one? How does it ride compared to say a 2003-2005 Range Rover. Any input? Tips?

I had a 2005 LR3 before the Range. The ride of the Range Rover is stiffer but the interior comfort is vastly superior. The 3l Td6 engine I have is noisier than the 2.7 TDV6 but I don't regret the switch for a second. Besides the LR3 felt heavier with the dual chassis and had huge mechanical problems. The Range is designed by BMW so it's much more reliable. At least mine didn't yet leave me stranded. The LR3 did several times.
So if this helps, I have an '05 ffrr hse/ lux pkg. and an '06 lr3 se. In addition I run cooper zeon ltz 275/50/20 on the ffrr and nitto 285/60/18 on the lr3.

With the exception of hauling my 2 dogs I would prefer the ffrr any day. My wife drives the lr3 daily. When I purchased the lr3 for her, I had intended to get her an '06 ffrr, but at the time she felt the ffrr was to large. Needless to say afte two months she wished she had gotten the ffrr.

So from some one who has both the ffrr rides smother, quiter is more comfortable, arguably looks better, has a heated steering wheel. The lr3 however gets slightly better fuel milage.

Cheers
Love my lr3. Doesnt have the ride of the RR but its a perfect utility vehicle for a family. I have added BFG's TAKO, sliders a roof rack and ladder so the ride is, well its OK. But I personally like its not as flashy as the RR but she is pure land rover and can go anywhere. Cant wait for more snow. You will miss the ride of the RR but I really needed more seats.

Your thought and opinion seems to have merged...no regrets?!
I tried out the new LR4 with the 5 l engine and although it's a very nice drive, I was happy to get back in my 03 range which rides nicer and feels so much more whatever. Unfortunately it's the same with every car I try out....

Actually, had a lr3 and RR for some time and found myself driving the lr3 quite a bit more. Not sure why maybe just wanting to save RR for special occasions. My DD is actually a F250 diesel I wouldnt trade for 2 RR's... I just really enjoy driving it I dont really haul anything.
