Mounting Front Coil Springs Question

1113 Views 6 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  rtkraken
Hey guys-
Inherited a set of 2" lift springs. 8) The rear installation looks pretty straight forward. Do I have to remove the shock towers when installing the fronts, or can the springs be wiggled out and into place with just the lower shock attachment undone? (It's a 92... shock runs thru the center of the front coils)
Thanks

I always take the shock towers out. Initially tried it the other way and had too many damaged fingers. It is also wise to get some spring compressors.
Removing the shock towers are pretty easy, only 4 nuts. The only other thing you have to undo is the bottom of the shock, but you have to do this no matter what you do.
