Hello

I recently purchased a BMW MK4 SatNav off eBay on the understanding it would work in my L322 Range Rover. I have since plugged it in (a straight swap) however my car doesn't seem to recognise the system as the display is a blank screen.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Is there something I need to do prior/after swapping them over?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Mac

Might be an obvious question but you bought the trunk version of the mk4 not the glove compartment version, right? The trunk version looks exactly like the mk3 but it says DVD on the eject door. The glove conpartment version won't work in RR.

I just replaced my mk3 to mk4 and it went plug-and-play

-why did you replace it? Did you have a preexisting issue? (Mine was becaus mk3 caused severe battery drain)

- are the maroon and blue connectors fully seated and the latch down?

- does a light come on the unit? Solid, blinking?

- can you hear it trying to read a disc? If a bad disc is in it will loop and the screen will stay blank. Eject the bad disc.
