Hi guys...i just purchased a range rover sport 2006...No mechanical failures but when i was looking underneath for the air suspension compressor i found an output or maybe input there is no line in!!! If anyone can help and tell me what is is for and what is missing in that compressor i ll be thankful...

I cannot answer your question but the compressor you have is an AMK so at some stage the original Hitachi compressor has been replaced with the later AMK - you issue may be related to the conversion but I dont know so hopefully someone will be along who can answer your question.

My guess is the exhaust line that runs to behind the rear light cluster is not connected and it blows out that port to atmosphere. Raise your truck and lower it, you should not hear the air leaving the system as the exhaust has a silencer behind the light cluster.

Also that white residue points to your dryer desiccant breaking down.
