had Full timing guides all 3 and new main chain and cam chains, tensionsors inside and out replaced at 89k due to timing guide failures and stretched main chain. (Expensive job might i add ! and car has full better then normal service history)
159,679 on a 2003 BMW 4.4
Still running great. I bought it exactly three years ago, and at that time spent about $3k pre-emtively replacing all coolant hoses, PCV system, front timing cover seals, chain guides, valve cover seals... In three years, only issues I've had are the occasional Vanos rattle and 2 blower resistors, and the funny adapter hose leaking on the back of the motor.
2008 HSE supercharged, 122,339. Regular fluid changes. Doesn't use oil, and just a tiny leak around timing chain cover. I did have the coolant hose go underneath
the supercharger around 116,000. Dealer wanted $2700, but found a great local Range Rover mechanic who did it for $850.
