Was at the dealer today and saw this for a RRS, this dealer seriously trying to find suckers

One of the Houston dealers had a markup of $100K earlier this week on a LWB SV. Today it was marked down to only a $50K markup.

Went there once and walked out. They even try to sell car theft insurance as required. The word for glen cove is beware

We both had terrible experiences with them which is what lead us to Ray Catena for a much better experience that year.

I left Glen Cove (Long Island monopoly for many years) for Freeport (New kid on the block) after my multiple times salesman told me they couldn't match the Freeport deal for my 2020 ATB because the owner needed to "pay for their beach house".

Glen Cove reviews are pretty bad. 2.5 stars on Yelp.

These things are easily manipulated anyway.
Remember a few years back - Trump Grill in Manhattan. It's actually a very nice fine dining place - but got 1 stars because 30,000 people went on yelp and google to give it 1 star for political reasons. I guess reviews in general are easily faked. Can get ones friends to go on and review positive for you and weaponize them against your competition. A real shame.

JRL has 3 dealers on Long Island, any quote from them is the bottom line. Freeport (where I got mine) is more open to deals....

Yeah, Glen Cove, Huntington and Southampton are all the same owner going back to LIAG. They used to be in St James and Massapequa too. I still miss their St James location, it was there for me during the dark days of the P38A. Every new car I bought since 2000 was from one of their dealerships - old Sportique Jaguar and Porsche Huntington included.

Freeport was previously just a Jaguar dealer but had the right for Land Rover and redid their dealership a few years back. They're not as hungry now as they were in 2019 though ha. Very nice people though. And made the deal that got me away from the monopoly.

Well from my experience of buying Range rovers for over 20 years and am on a preferred list from Land Rover for the preview of the l405 and now l460 would give Glen Cove dealer a 1 rating. However that was eight years ago maybe the dealership has changed . But would rate a 5 for LR Manhattan( recent ) and Ray Catena ( 8 years ago)
