What is:

"Lubricate wheel centers" - is that just putting some grease on the part where the wheels meet the hub?

"Inspect and lube door checks" - are you just lubing the hinge areas?

Thanks!

xl,
Your correct on the wheel lubrication. The door "checks" are the small "arms" that limit the door travel. They as well as the hinges should be lubricated periodically. ibis1 ;)

Use a nice light oil on the locks and latches, including the 2 bonnet locks. I have a suspicion LR changed from the heavier white grease type lubricants to a much lighter one, simply because the grease was attracting dirt which was stopping the locks working. We are using a PTFE/teflon type aerosol oil but I expect WD40 or similar would be OK for a while.

As for the alloys, just use copper grease in there but take care not to contaminate the brake surfaces.
