I have searched and found could be my cv joint. I also see they sell just the joint at atlantic brittish. There was a utube video of a guy who just wacked the old cv joint off with a hammer. Has anyone done this and mabey I should buy the whole assembly.
Thanks for opinions.

Exactly as the video, give them a slap downwards and they pop off, takes longer to remove brake Caliper, carry, mud splash guard and hub.
Have you done a hub removal before ?, can be a bit of a fight if they’ve not been off before, have a look at utube so you know what your getting into, only big socket you need is 1.1/4 to undo the drive shaft nut, pair of grips to wiggle abs sensor out, otherwise stand socket set will do, only 4 sizes needed,12mm for brake caliper, 8 mm for splash guard, 19mm 12 sided for carrier and 15 or 16 for hub, can’t remember off top of my head

I have fixed it, I lifted the front and spun the wheels in both directions, no clicking from cv joints. But I did notice a clunk in diff.
Drained and it was low, refilled, then checked ujoints again to find the rear front to be trashed. Changed it out and rover is running smooth again. Thx for the tips.
