Hi all. I am planning on purchasing a full 2010-2012 facelift kit for my 2006 Range Rover (l322) and was wondering if anyone knows of a Northern California (Bay Area) shop that can professionally install.

Thanks.

Any decent body shop can not only do the "facelift" but can do so with sourced used parts saving money. Then again you can source the parts yourself and save even more money. Of course in the end you will still have a 2006 with a bunch of bodged on parts.

flayne, I'm in the process of doing the same. Have all the parts, but looking for a shop to help with the electrical modifications. Any recommendations welcome.

I did mine a while back. The electrical modifications were not fun. I did it all myself.

I will answer non-common questions about it.

Total cost, used parts, around 2000 USD.

Hi Tom - What was your total cost for the facelift parts?
New Land Rover genuine parts from dealer ~$2500. This includes everything from radiator side supports to new fender liners (look exactly same as '06) - if '12 had a new part number I purchased new.
New genuine headlights from salvage yard (new in box, not sure how they got them) ~$1600

So the total for the front end was ~$4,100

Fender liners are very different where they meet the bumper. 06 are too long.

If you have a supercharged you have to trim the auxiliary cooler ducting on the passenger side as well.

Well! I believe I have sourced all of the parts required for the 2006 L322 to 2010 upgrade just waiting for them to arrive:

- From landrovermerriamparts.com ($1700)

*2010 Front Bumper parts (see image below) I sourced all parts except #5 & #18 (camera)
Just have to get it painted (for about $300)

- From our friends at PowerfulUK.com ($325)

*Res-15-Ohm-25W#l322 - Range Rover L322 2010 Rear Light Conversion Indicator Ballast Resistor x 2 (bought 2 sets just in case)
*RRI681#4-PCS - Range Rover L322 rear light conversion inserts ( x4 ) (bought 2 sets just in case)
*RRC011-Pair#L322 - Range Rover L322 2010 H11 Fog Light Connectors (Pair)
*
FOG923-LED-V1#L322 - Range Rover L322 2010 Fog Lamps - LED V1 (Pair)
*
RRC308#L322-2010 - Range Rover L322 2010 16 Way Headlight Connectors Pair

- From EBAY (Total: $2233)
*2010 AFS BI XENON Headlights ($1056)
*2012 Tail Light set ($995)
*2010 Grille ($182)

The only thing that I sort of question is whether I need to purchase 2010 left and right front fenders (wings as they are called in the UK).
I have read some conflicting posts stating that they are needed while others state that they are not needed (my L322 is a 2006)
Can I get some advice on this?

I think I will do the installation myself. PowerfulUK has some pretty detailed instructional Youtube videos that take you step by step.

The bumper mounting brackets differ from the 2006 to the 2010, however the bolt pattern on the wings FOR The fenders is the same. If you have a 2006, the 2010 brackets bolt right to the wings. The 2003-2005 models need the wings modified or replaced.

I have recently purchased the L322 2010 AFS headlights and the L322 2012 tail lights.

Are there comprehensive conversion wiring guides available?

I fully understand and accept that such a guide would be strictly for guidance purposes only.

You will not be able to make the AFS lights work.

A for diagrams, there are many, I just posted what I did yesterday.

Hi ddillenger,

Well I have all my parts including headlight and taillight wiring kits from Supertweaks in the UK.

The tail light conversion seems pretty straight forward.

However, the headlight conversion is giving me a little pause.

I have been scouring the internet and looking at L322 workshop manuals to make sure I understand the 2006 (Non AFS) headlight pin out assignments and how they need to be re-pinned to function with the 2010 headlights.

I have seen a number of charts and spreadsheets that have different wordings for the 2006 (NON AFS) pin out assignments but think I have got the jist of it.

I was wondering if you could look at my pin out assignments (see below)and let me know if I am correct as shown (not really sure about the 2006 pin 5 or pin 6)

And if you could let me know how to re-assign the pins from the 2006 to the 2010 that would be much appreciated.
