We intend to use our 2018 RRS SC for cross-country travel, which will entail many overnight stays in hotel parking lots and other insecure parking. We are concerned about the appeal of the 21" RR wheels to thieves. RR's accessory gloss black locking wheel nuts (#VPLWW0093) will match the color of the existing lug nuts on our Style 9001 21" wheels but are expensive ($177 for a basic locking lug design which appears vulnerable to the simple theft technique of hammering on a suitably-sized socket. Gorilla Automotive's X2 locking lugs appear more secure with their free-turning outer collar but are apparently only available in chrome. Has anybody found a secure locking lug nut that is also available in black? Also, what are the specs of the RR lug nuts that would have to be matched (e.g. M14 x 1.5 thread, shank 22.5 width x 19mm length, overall length, etc?). The benefit of other's experience will be appreciated. Forum searches have turned up little information.

My car came automatically with Land Rover chrome wheel locks for the 22 inch rims. They charged me for them and wouldn’t take it off the order sheet. It was a 155 dollar charge.
