would anybody know if you would be able to run BBS VE on Linux?

imwas thinking with the price of a Raspery Pi it really does make the idea of a fitted screen with a faultmate (or similar)permananlty connected kn the car become very viable.

either that or a simple basic portable unit that gives full functionality anywhere

I think you'd have to be a pioneer, does it need to be Linux? other than for price reasons i guess, though Centrafuse ($) works with that, although no idea on VE.

You could install Android on the Pi, and use something like Torque with an OBD connection to get basic data. Not quite as versatile as VE, but if it's just pretty gauges you want, that'd work.
