How does one get a proper workshop manual for these cars? I see things like this for sale on ebay:

Is this the right thing or some sort of rip off? Is there a paper version or CD only? If only CD does it work on a Mac?

It's the "real" thing, but at 4.99 that's quite dear.

But you can just download it from the various links if you search for RAVE.

I don't know if there is a paper version, if there is it will be very expensive, I prefer the computer version as it cant get greasy.

It might not run on MAC, although it runs in a PDF environment it has to install the PDF viewer rather than just opening up in acorbat. Someone posted a link to a cut down PDF version that would be fine, have a look through the recent posts.

green oval downloads do a copy of rave and the parts cd as well i dont think it will work on mac as it was only designed to run on window machines.
and if it is over a 2006 model car there is no cd available and will have to buy from land rover see here http://www.landrovertechinfo.com/extlrprod/market.jsp and buy day slots to look at what you need

Thanks gents. I've downloaded a free copy from green oval. An utterly superb publication! I think all those 777 pages will keep me busy for some time...

By the way it wont run on a Mac - unless of course you use a PC simulator (Bootcamp etc)
