Hi,
My name is Carla and i'm new here.
I have a Range Rover L322 of 2003.
I have a strange problema with the car.
When i turn on the ignition he made the song of the motor as i don't have batery.
I turn off the car, take the negative burn and out it again and the car works.
Have any off you ever had this problema.
I can't see what can be.
Thank you.

You removed the negative cable and then put it back and the car started? It sound like you might be getting a bad ground, do you live near the ocean?

Hi

Thank you for your answer.
I live 9km from the ocean.
I'm sorry but what do you men with bad ground? Bad contact anywhere because of oxidation?

Thank you

Yes i wonder if your getting oxidation on your grounds, which might interfere with the starting. The cable on the starter might need cleaning as well. It could be the relay that allows the starter to work is becoming faulty as well.

Does the ignition key actually turn on the first time you try to start it or is it stuck like you have the wrong key, or does the key turn but the engine doesn't crank over?

If the battery cables are clean and tight check all of them both red and black,
some times the BMW engine cars have this problem and its the starter solenoid contacts .
The starter has to be rebuilt with fresh contacts
you can work around it by cycling the key from off to crank position till it starts, if this is whats happening to you then the starter has to come out
