My stereo occasionally works perfectly.
9 times out of 10 though it is affected by what seems to be a cut in the supply & to the music, so you hear a split second of music then it cuts out. This Repeats.
Same thing whether on Radio or CD.

I notice the orange circular button light always flashes when this problem occurs.
When it works fine, no flashing.

All the other instrumentation read outs seem to work fine & are on continously like MPG , distance etc.

Any pointers appreciated.

does the lower selections also flash like the radio cd aux selection do they turn light silver where you can not select between them if that is the case you have a bad modual either the cd changer or the bluethooth or amp you can try to update the audio control modual

I can change between modes but the intermittent flashing on and off is the same.

The LED flashing means that the fiber bus(MOST ring) is going down. This can be due to any of the various components shutting down intermittently, or due to software.

Have you noticed any patterns with it acting up? amount of time it cycles on/off, if you have unlocked the vehicle to enter vs just opened the door, ambient temperature, if it has rained recently

you can start by bypassing the moduals fiber optic signal one modual at a time and this will help you find witch modual is bad or the first easy step would be upgrading the audio modual and see if that helps
