Hi, I have a 2002 L322 4.4. Car drives fantastic with no lack of power etc. If left standing for an hour or so it will crank for 10-15 seconds like pulling fuel through and then run no problem at all. After this you can stop and start it as many times as you like and its fires straight away. Someone has suggested that it might be the fuel filler cap as there is no pressure release at all when you remove the cap. Any thoughts greatly appreciated. Thanks Kev

Scrolling through, I just read this thread. This problem might revolve around a leaky fuel injector. After engine is shut down, fuel slowly leaks then an hour or so later its difficult to fire the accumulated fuel.

I would replace the fuel; filter its under the driver side passenger seat on the bottom of the truck,
Lay on the ground look up you will see the cover,
remove the cover and you will find it.

If that doesnt cure it then a fuel pump swap may be in your future .

As pointed out above add a bottle of Techron to address leaking injectors.
