I've been hearing a metallic rattle/squeal for the past few months and I'm hoping I've finally tracked it down to the rear wheels / brakes. Both mud guard / dust shields are badly corroded and appear to be rubbing against the inner brake discs. I've tried to pry them off but they just crumble and seem to get worse. I've been looking all day today for a replacement set but am unable to locate them anywhere...not even a picture or part number! If anyone knows the part number or where I can buy these from in the UK it would be greatly appreciated. I've just ordered new callipers, discs and pads and would like to replace the backing plates / shields at the same time if possible but struggling to source them. Failing that, would it be wrong to simply remove them? 8-0=

The dust shields are something so rarely in need of replacement that you won;t find it in general browsing. Call your local suppliers and see if they have them on the shelf or can get them in.
