I picked up a '95 RRC over the weekend. I only received keys, no remotes. Are all of these equipped with remote entry from the factory? If I purchase a remote should all of the hardware be installed already to accept it?

I'm pretty sure there would have been two remotes when the car was supplied new. Remote central locking was standard as well as immobilization I guess therefore new correctly programmed fobs should work.

Getting hold of fobs might be more of a challenge?

Thanks for the reply. This was my thought as well. I will do some searching and see if I can find a fob or two somewhere.

It is possible to add an aftermarket remote to the central locking system, bypassing the alarm.... which as it's old Lucas tech isn't a bad thing. The remotes can be had for as little as £10 / $12.80!! It should integrate with the later 5 wire system without the need for a slave actuator, which I had to add to my 1988 4 wire system.

If you need more info ask :thumb:
