That doesn't sound too good, seems in sync with engine speed and something odd with cam / lifters / rockers.

I'd lift the rocker covers first for an initial inspection to see if anything obvious is there to see. Manually rotate the engine to check each pushrod by turning to assess if you can feel anything amiss.

Rocker shaft posts torqued up?

Hydraulic lifter collapsed? Wouldn't be the first!

I’d remove the rocker cover and run the engine
You will be able to get a better idea what’s up
I had a similar thig happen after my engine
Caught on fire and sat for a few months
While I rewired it
I added marvel mystery oil
It loosened up the lifter and sound went away
