can anyone tell me if the jlr sdd tool is good, and if I can reset the sir suspension with it (this is my main concern)

there are better diagnostics gear for first gen BMW years of L322s. Check out Gap diagnostics on their website or down in their vendor forum below. I assume you want read air suspension codes to rectify an issue you are having and actually make the repairs and not just resetting the codes to ignore the issue.

SDD is mostly useless.

If your budget is high enough for SDD, you can look into RSW Solutions EAS Activate or Allcomms

Another would be GAP IIDTool

If you are computer savvy, the PA Soft 1.4 will work.
