Not really too surprising. The JLR supply line contract certainly had an expiration. It's no different than BMW supplying engines under Ford ownership. There will be something already in the works for engines as this article only shows that their production is ending three months "early".

JLR has already deployed their Ingenium 300hp gasser and 2.0L turbodiesel in some Jag models...the rest are on the way.

I personally can't wait to see their new Ingenium inline six turbodiesel...hoping for ~280hp and ~500lb-ft.

I hope the new 6 and 8 petrols sound as good as the current type!

I hope reliability will be a main concern seeing how poorly these 5.0s are holding up to even the slightest overheating.. It's almost like they took a Rover V8 and the BMW V8 and stuck them together, coolant and TCG issues :lol:
