I wouldn't go by KBB, especially right now. They are always off IMHO.
At the end of the day, I always look around and compare similar models, mileage, etc. That's the only way to compare accurately.
Personally I would not give what they are asking, the market is too bad right now. If you really want it, and can afford it then why not?
It is your money not ours after all :thumb:

Very true on the small things being a sign of neglect. I always keep on top of the small niggly stuff, it just bugs me when it doesn't work or look right
As I said though, the market will dictate the values, not KBB etc.
It is always hard to accurately value a special edition or highly modded rig though. As I say to people looking at modified Jeeps, it's your money, and if it sets your heart on fire, go buy it :thumb:
I just couldn't justify the extra money for what basically amounts to nicer seats etc. Now if it was an Overfinch.....

There was an Overfinch 570 in one of the LR magazines at over £11,000 and that was a 1997MY. And that was the smaller engined version. You'd have to be Mr B.P. Esso-McShell to run it though.

TBH, If you are going to keep a car and look after it (i.e. not chop n' castrate it) then I'd say get a special edition model, even at a premium. At least it will always be more saleable than a standard HSE. If you can't find a Linley, then find a Holland & Holland. Easily a collectors item in the future.
Collectors editions are in the eye of the beholder, over here they could well mean nothing at all. Hell, RR's in general are worth next to nowt mate :crybaby2:
The only thing a special edition means IMHO, is that IF you find the right buyer, it would sell before a standard edition would. Not for more money per say, but maybe a quicker sale.
As far as being Mr. B.P. etc....premium gas is just over $2 a gallon here mate  My Heep gets @12-14 mpg with the heavy (135lbs each) wheels and tires I have on it right now and my big rig gets anywhere between 4 - 8 mpg.....I bet an Overfinch would get better MPG than the Heep does
OP, I still stick to my original statement. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ( and the bank account the check book is linked to!). If you really like it, then get it :thumb:
