On my RRS (AB, 2015) turn signal gets quieter (or silent at all?) when talking somebody on the phone (=handsfree, BT).
Maybe OP should try making phone calls in handsfree?

I do hand car play, but aftermarket, not OEM, so it does not mute when calling on car play (of course). Phone calls on BT mutes well, never heard anybody complaining about it.
