You answered your own thread...if the power is not on, and therefore the IPOD is not charging, exactly how do you have a drain...

That's like having a cig lighter which is used for charging, but only works when the ignition is on...it cannot drain once the ignition is turned off...

If you can truly see that the Ipod is NOT charging when the car is turned off, you don't have to worry about a drain. At any rate, I presume you are not going weeks w/o driving the car anyway, and if for some reason the battery had dipped, by now you also have bought yourself one of the Microlight Rockford Lithium Battery Jump starters, so you'd be powered up in a jiffy anyway, right? :)
