Hi everyone! Happy new year!
My name is Milton , and i'm from Portugal. I love Land Rover's. My first car after getting my driving license was a '91 Range Rover TD. After that i had a '91 RR V8; a '92 Discovery 200 tdi and at the moment i have a '00 Range Rover DSE and a '95 Discovery 300 tdi
I used to do a lot of off-road few years ago. You can check my videos at :

www.youtube.com/miltoncosta

I am shure you will enjoy !

At the moment i am getting the off-road "needing" again but life is a bit complicated at the moment so i'll have to wait for better times.

I hope to learn a bit more about Land Rover's in this forum!

All the best!

Olá Luis!
Nice to "meet" you! So, you name is Luis Costa, right?
I don't know New Jersey too much, except because i heard there are few portuguese people living there and i remember that in 1999 or 2000 i've met a portuguese girl who was living there too, and i've met her here in Portugal when she was in hollidays. LOL! But, yes! There are nice trails here in Portugal. I live in the south (Algarve,Faro) 5 minutes away from the beach and 15 from the hills, so it's just like choose where to go :)

All the best!

Sin Senhor! Yes, its good to meet you too...small world huh! I love them all.... you have a Range Rover for every occasion meu! The P38 looks like you are transporting Cavaco Silva.... the bronze 1 looks very tidy....and the green 1 is 4 fun time!
I love the pic in the washout...that must have been in the winter!
I tell you what.... if I can't sell my 83, I will have it shipped to Portugal and park it in the garage in Mira! Unfortunatly I can't keep 4 cars here... I am reconditioning the 93, that's going to be my daily driver..used to be my wife's, she has the Touraeg now!
I met another guy from Portugal through bigcoupe.com, he has an M6 like mine...it has been featured in some magazine's, he also has RR's...I don't know, there is some kind of connection between 6-series and RR's!

Yes you should bring your RR to Portugal but honestly it's better to buy one here because if you import you will pay a very expensive tax every year. They made it to stop people importing older cars from Germany, etc. You can find good deals here due to the crisis. I bought my Discovery 300 tdi with 100.000 kilometers (second engine), variable geometry turbo, big allisport performance intercooler, Td5 seats in it, longer scorpion racing springs for 3200 euros!! At the moment i am pretending to sell my p38 because i really don't drive it many times like i used to. Last year i made 4 thousand kilometers! I want to keep the Discovery and prepare it for Off-road. I don't do off-road with the p38. It's too much plastic! My friends tell me if i take the P38 off-road i will make it in pieces very quickly LOL! I believe them and i don't wan't to destroy it so i have to choose wich one to keep!
If you come to Portugal one day let me know! There are big Land Rover enthusiast's over here!

One Portuguese Land Rover forum is www.forumlandrover.org . I hope there is no problem on writting this here. It's just in case you want to meet some Land Rover guys. most of them are from the center of the country, wich is where Mira is, more or less! lol

You are right about the taxes....do you know if the age of the vehicle makes it exempt or not? I would love to get together next time I go there on vacation... maybe not in a rover, but definitly in one of these! 11132011eccamera 077.jpg
