Hi,

I have just replaced the internal door locking cable but the little white part that holds the cable into the door handle has broken too.

Does anyone know if I could get one separately or do I need to buy a whole new handle?

Thanks very much ?

There doesn't seem to be a separate part number. Your best bet would be a breaker.

Hi,

I am having the same problem with my 2002. The rear right door won't open from the inside since this tiny white plastic part is broken. It is the part (5) in this diagram. Is there no alternative than buying a whole new handle? Thanks for the help!

Well, I decided to try a quick fix. I took a very small zip tie and made a loop that slipped around the broken plastic part and on top of the cable. I coated all the inside of this loop with superglue and fastened it tight. It basically keeps the two halves of the white piece together and prevents the cable from slipping out. So far so good. We'll see how long it lasts.

Copy. I’ve done that and then covered the whole mess in hot glue. Not on my truck but for work related connectors in a pinch.
