I'm having issues starting my 98 4.0 in the morning. The issue is when I turn the key, it cranks but it just won't turn over. Eventually after a few tries it starts up and starts back up after the initial time. This problem just started and has only happened in the morning after the Range has been sitting all night. It's usually around 45-55 Degrees out, and has happened when the tank is full, half full, or near empty. Any idea what this could be? Spark plugs are new Champion...Any help would be appreciated! When your engine cranks, does it sound normal, or slightly off sync.
If it sounds even slightly unusual, it could be your crank position sensor.

Sounds pretty normal, but I could be wrong. It is also throwing misfire codes, but i've had those since before the starting issue and noone can really figure out why except to tell me to get a head gasket job.
