Intermittent faults are the worst to nail down. Just because it ran at one point does not at all mean you have fuel pressure and spark when it is not running.

WOW. WOW, YIKES, I think I found the root of all my problems!!!! about a month ago I had the valve cover gaskets changed in the engine to correct a small leak, well apparently the left side bank gasket leaked and the wells where the coils and plugs are located are swimming in oil. I did not attempt to remove the plugs for fear that all this oil wiill flood my cylinders, but this might have been cause for the problem .

I wonder what damage this might have caused to the coils PCV valve??? I am now at a stand still and will have to bring the car back to the place that I had the gaskets changed for them to refit them properly. I am so desperate yet upset about the work performed. These guys are honest and have always done great work for my cars. I know because I stay there and observe the work they do...
Any thoughts or comments are most welcome
Tks guys

Update, after 3.5 hrs cleaning the mess the oil caused, found out that the gasket that was installed about a month ago had crimped a piece during the installation, allowing oil to flood the spark plug well of the head, this impacted on the spark plug function . I literally removed almost a qt of oil from the well (driver side only) thank God.

Installed new plugs and cleaned all up. The bad news is that, while I do have power (spark) at the plugs, I have no gas pressure after a gas pressure test, so the next move is to change the gas filter. If that does not work I guess is to change the gas pump... The car still is unable to start.
Oh well I am thankful that the spark cut out while flooded with the oil, otherwise I would probably had a seized engine.
Whew!
