I approached 2 dealerships in the Seattle area about near-identical RRS HSE LUX's.

Bellevue -> I got a young, arrogant salesman that would constantly talk over the top of me and had me very frustrated on several occasions. Initial best offer for payment schedule was $(x + 300)/month (apparently "firm" and "they sold 10 range rovers a month and didnt need my business"). Once I told him I was talking to Tacoma that price instantly came to $(x + 200)/month. Couple more rounds and he came to $(x + 100)/month with comments like "we would like to sell another car before the end of the year" - it was late December).

Tacoma -> Got a guy that straight away came up with $(x)/month and was going to throw in all the towing equipment (because I had mentioned that towing was important).

Couldn't be happier with Tacoma, can't stress enough how I will never step foot in the Bellevue dealership (or any of its affiliates).

Land Rover of Farmington Hills, MI

I bought my 08 RRS from a non Land Rover Dealer. It only had one key and when I picked it up I was told go get another key with programming and I will be reimbursed. (As I picked it up 4 hours away from where I live and the fact that getting a new key is a few day affair).

When I got home I looked at what LR dealerships I had around me.... 3 within 45 min drive. I called all three and asked for the price. Dealer 1 and 2 had the same, where as LRFH was much cheaper on both the key and the programming. I chose them and ordered the key, was told it would be 3-5 days. I received a call on day 2 saying the key was in, and I could just drop in anytime as long as I hit them at least 45 mins before closing. I scheduled an appointment as I needed to do a routine maintenance anyway.

I arrived there today, and was quite impressed with the way the dealership looked. The service department and I looked thru the service history, and determined what I was due for. I even got a printout of the build of my vehicle. I was told how long it was going to take and asked if I was waiting. Off went my baby....

I wandered thru the parts department looking at the swag, and the parts department asked if I had any questions. As I wandered out to the sales floor, I was met by a sales manager who said he knew I was in for service, but if I had any questions just let them know. I was offered coffee, or soda and shown around the place.

I left to get a bite to eat... coming back when I was told it would be ready. It was ready on time, all shiny inside and out even the rims looked brand new. The bill was as stated.. no surprises.

OVERALL - Was impressed with the dealership and they way I was treated. They know I will probably never buy a vehicle directly from them (Canadian at a US dealership) but treated me just as if I had bought an 11 RRS Autobiography.

I will see if it holds true when I take my wifes LR2 there in a few weeks for a few trim issues and regular maintenance.

Robert @ Pasadena Land Rover is the best in the area. Went to 5 dealerships between Encino and Newport Beach, I got the best service and best price. Make sure you tell him Vic with the 11 RRS SC sent you.

Shout out to Land Rover Knoxville.....

Heading home on my 10 hour drive today, I decided to leave a little earlier (3:30am) and get in the house before the family got home. Great in theory, not so good in practice. I left with just over a half a tank o fuel, and decided to let it down to about a quarter and get gas and some munchies. Pulled in prepaid, and ummm... Gas cap was real stiff... and now I have a Black cap in my hand and the other part is still in the filler spout. Its not coming out at all.....

I could drive backwards to Chattanooga, or carry on to Knoxville. I arrived outside Land Rover Knoxville at 5:15AM (They open at 7:30). At around 7:00 Tim (Service advisor) arrives to open the gate, leads me in and throws on a pot o Joe.

We fill in the work order, and he takes my truck to the service bay. The first tech who arrives 7:25 doesn't even get a chance to have a coffee.... hes off in the back working on my rig. Small talk with Tim as I am waiting, and at 7:45 my rigs outside, I sign and I am off. Painless and Quick...

Land Rover of Cape Cod
When it was time to trade my 2003 disco in, I started looking for a low mileage Buckingham Blue 2008 RRS SC. It's always interesting when you buy used, You need to hunt for the car/config you want. After poking around on one of the national car search engines, I came across the car I wanted at Land Rover Cape Cod. I used the Chat session on the search engine to talk to the Internet Rep, and she was helpful, and even offered to move to car to a destination closer to where I live (Dealership is 90+ mins from my home), so I could test drive it. We discussed price, and what I was willing to pay for a used RRS. She forwarded my contact information to Sales guide Reed Plummer, who called me, and over the next few days, we agreed on a price and schedule test drive and delivery if we liked it. I convinced my wife to take the day off, we went down to the dealership and met with Reed, drove the car, and loved it. When I went to have the car inspected a week later, the inspection station failed the car because of the beginning stages of tire rot on the conti's. Without any arguments, or mad rants, Land Rover Cape Cod replaced the tires.

The folks we met at the dealership were great, from our sales guide Reed, Dennis in Parts, Neesha and Shaunah in Service, to Gerard the Sales Mgr, everyone was pleasant and best of all "non-phony" (If there is such a word).

If it was not for the 90 minute commute, I would use them for Service, as I felt like we were treated well during the whole purchase experience. I highly recommend them for folks looking to buy a new or used LR.

Well, I had my meeting with the Land rover Encino sales department yesterday. I think it went quite well. I met with the internet sales department who treated me quite well. Did a test drive of the 2011 RRS and was quite impressed. After the test drive, went back and haggled over price. The salesperson was very professional, and I eventually purchased the vehicle paying a little over $3,000.00 dollars over the dealership invoice department. The sales lady was very professional and did not pressure me to purchase any unnecessary options. I recommend doing your research before going to the dealership and use the internet pricing department. I had an idea of the dealership invoice price before I went and was able to negotiate from there. Overall, a good experience and so far I'm happy with my purchase. Will blog later on the reliability of the vehicle. Oh, one more thing. I think it helps if you have your loan financed before you go. They offer a 3.9% financing plan, but I was able to get a 1.9% from Navy Federal, therefore the paperwork was quicker. Good luck with your purchase.
You should have taken their financing and negotiated $500 over invoice then take the paperwork to Navy Credit Union within 30 days and have them rewrite the loan as a new car loan and payoff the original LR financing.

I think that they expect profit from the financing and you can bypass that.

As this is an international forum, I'll recommend Land Rover Dresden, in Germany. When my 19 year old Range Rover blew a brake pipe back in June, when we were on holiday from UK they had it up and running again within 24 hours, and reasonably priced, too.

Range Rover Glen Cove (NY) A truly Fantastic buying experience!
All LI Rover dealerships are owned by the same company. Glen Cove, and Huntington tried screwing me. Tried getting me to pay STICKER MSRP on the car.

Went to LR of Manhattan and got 2k over invoice. Best place, and all taken care of via internet.

AVOID GLEN COVE / HUNTINGTON. Horrible service department as well.

Re: LR Dallas

LR Orlando

Great service, parts department is open Saturday and very helpful, clean shop and very helpful sales team. Dealer supports local British car club and have prices on service that beat the rude specialist shop in town.

In the past we've owned luxury SUVs and 4WD vehicles and were in the market for something that wasn't ho-hum boring and that met our particular criteria - not an easy task. Robert Carter at Jaguar Land Rover did an excellent job of introducing us to the Land Rover/Range Rover brand. After extensive research, no other SUV on the market compared to the 2014 Range Rover Sport HSE for luxury, practicality, technology and combination of features for us. Robert's patience, expertise and professionalism -- plus a rockin' test drive that sold us on the Sport's off road handling -- sold us on the brand and the Sport. No other model/make met our needs or excited us as much.

In fact, the entire group at LR Annapolis (from the front desk to finance to management) made us feel welcomed and surpassed our high expectations throughout the overall auto-buying process, including making purchasing easy and pleasant. The dealership is modern and comfortable, with a pristine service area. Land Rover Annapolis delivers an overall experience that differentiates it from the rest -- and that makes a huge difference when searching for the right vehicle and knowing what to expect afterwards.

Not only are we extremely pleased with our new RR Sport but we are happy we were able to buy it from a local dealership. We could go on and on. We highly recommend both Robert Carter and the Jaguar Land Rover Annapolis dealership.

Very impressed with dealer service at Alpharetta, GA.
I bought my 2011 RRS at a non-JLR dealer, but i brought it to the Alpharetta dealership to get it checked out and the forward control center reset to defaults (had it freeze on me once already) fully expected to pay for the service and time, but they completed a recall service and then did inspection and reset for free. During the 2 hour wait, i was updated 4 times with status, even when each was good news. Very friendly and knowledgeable service rep, named Pete Alvarez.

Anybody in Canada? I've just moved to Ontario and am looking to go to a dealer in either Ottawa, or Toronto; anyone here had any experience with either of these? I need the brake line recall doing, Ottawa is closer, but I would rather travel the extra distance to Toronto if the dealers are better....... Thanks

JLR Asheville was fantastic

we has a great experience with the dealership from the beginning to the end of the buying experience. They were efficient, courteous and friendly - as though they knew we had a choice and were hungry to earn our business

I was impressed at their initiative to find a vehicle in the us that matched what we wanted. They worked hard to locate one and bargain for a trade. When that didn’t happen, they pulled some strings to give us their March v8 build slot.

I would definitely buy another car from them. If you’re nearby and in the market, you should stop by and visit Jay. He’s the best!
