Have looked everywhere on threads, but can not find good directions to remove and clean tumblers in my switch. The solenoid will hardly work to push tumbler out so I can remove key! Thanks

Oil/WD 40 etc into the ignition lock is a big no-no. The best stuff to use is graphite powder.

Graphite doesn;t clean the existing mess up, it only keeps things working smoothly. With a towel under the keyway spray a bit of brake cleaner into the keyhole. The brake cleaner will free up any goo and flush it out. It also evaporates quickly with no residue. After flushing a couple times with brake cleaner then use the graphite, but only after the keyway has dried for quite sometime.

rrtoadhall: I think you referenced a good thread about taking the tumbler apart and cleaning. Do you happen to remember ?

I haven't done it, but search would pull it up.
