* If customer disconnects a session for the device the touchscreen will no longer freeze on the CarPlay screen.

Plus a host of other non-Smartphone pack changes. Also, the installed vehicle software version will now be stored with other vehicle details in TOPIx - together with a notation as to the latest version available, making it easy to see if an update is available/relevant

• The 4x4i All Surface Information Screen will no longer be automatically displayed when a vehicle stalls.

TOW ASSIST

• The Shadow trailer will no longer turn red too early.
• (InControl touch Duo only) A Long press of the rotary dial will now centre the trailer to straight as it does on single screen vehicles.
• When a Trailer is attached the user will now be able to select other camera views not just the trailer views.
• Customer will no longer experience flicker while zoom in/out hitch assist
• Parking guidance is returning after a Hitch Assist action automatically

TELEVISION

• TV feature will not crash while selecting TV channel through Speech command
• Customer will no longer see the white patches behind the intent bar in TV station list.

VALET MODE

• Customer can unlock the valet mode by giving the valid valet mode PIN the master PIN will no longer be required.

Still trying my sources at JLR US...but cannot get an answer as to why early 17MY get some of the functionality in the last update...and I would assume this one even though all 17MY had the updated Infotainment over MY16.. Has anyone else had any issues in a 17?

You'll still need an account and be logged in to find it - further you'll probably want to enter in your VIN. Then once you've selected your vehicle the Documents link is on the top horizontal menu and the Software link on the subsequent vertical menu.

See screenshot - this is as far as I can get. Also I see the "Outstanding Campaigns" and i try to navigate to that link and im told i also need a subscription...HELPPPPP!

Don't give up so easily - maybe try Browse All then Documents then Software

Michael, TOPIx foulded up their documents a week or so for the general public. you used to be able to browse by year and model. What is odd is your link works perfectly for me and I am not logged in.

Michael, TOPIx foulded up their documents a week or so for the general public. you used to be able to browse by year and model. What is odd is your link works perfectly for me and I am not logged in.

Only thing I can confirm is that I don't have a subscription to TOPIx and I'm just logged in. I am using my VIN and off my vehicle screen - it's Browse All>Documents>Software

Anyone else without a subscription able to do those steps?

That's also how I logged in. Just used my VIN then clicked on documents. Thankfully it also remembers your VIN each time.

So what is the good word? Does this update really address all of the issues outlined in the bulletin?

Yea it did for me but my situation was diffrent as in I had 18B before upgrading because my advisor informed prob around October that 18c is out and if I want I could wait because they announced 18d so I actually just waited for 18D.

But my issues were all Bluetooth related and everything seems addressed. All features involving the touch work a lot better imo ... but I won’t lie I actually took the truck back from dealer sat and I’m on vacation so only played around for a few hours will check out when I’m back home.

Just letting you guys know here in USA it is available at the dealer in case they give you run a round as it is installed on my truck

I thought the 18C updated allowed us to preform future updates wirelessly without having to go to the dealer. Am I mistaken on that? When I search for updates, my car isn't finding any.
