like a hawk.
Just checking over the car last night, as we're leaving on holiday on tuesday(driving to Pyrenees)
and noticed the coolant a little low, not much, about 1cm.
Went to fill it up and taking the cap off there was a definitive release of pressure
'hissssss' followed by GLUG GLUG GLUG and lots of coolant disappearing, to below
half the expansion bottle.
Now the car has not been used since sunday, the oil is clear and up to the full level
( just changed).

Hopefully if I ignore the problem, it will go away. :crybaby2: :crybaby2:

Pressure release from a stone cold engine can be caused by the dreaded slipped liner - I would take a more proactive approach and investigate thoroughly.

Good Luck

Bit late now, no chance to get anything done here before leaving, unless
we cancel our holiday.

Good Luck mate :thumb:

As well as the coolant I would check to ensure breakdown cover entitles you to a replacement vehicle and overnight stay ANYWHERE in Europe.

God Willing you won't be needing any of those things
