Hi guys, I purchased these SVO style armrest chrome knobs for my 2017 RRS HSE Dynamic thinking I could follow this YouTube installation video. It appears that the inside of the L494 armrest is different than the L405 in the video. More importantly, I'm being able to unclip one side of the trim, but I can't get the other side to budge. I try and try and I'm about to break my trim tool and the other side will not move at all. I was wondering if any of you have installed these knobs or have ever removed the center armrest trim.

Hi guys,

Don't mean to resurrect an old thread but another member just PMd me asking if I was ever able to figure how to remove the clip and install the SVO style knobs. I was! I'm attaching a couple of pics here to show where to grab the clip and how to pull it out. I also confirmed with the dealer that one side of the trim unclips, but the other doesn't. You just have to work carefully.

I'm also including a few pics of the finished armrests, which turned out beautiful!

many friend just fitted these on my RRS today. He wasn’t able to reclip the bottom of the passenger sidearm rest. Any tips or advice on how to get it clipped back in?

Hi Rach,

I had the same problem. Mine is not completely reclipped. There is a small gap left. The problem is that you cannot take it apart to see what could be the issue. From what the dealer told me taking it apart would break the whole thing. So, I decided to leave mine alone. It's barely noticeable.
