How to replace JUST driver's side Blend door motor

Can anyone help me understand what i'll need to do just to replace this? I have the full replacement motors in the 3-cable set, but I was hoping to maybe just replace the guts of it or splice in the other. I have looked around and can't find specific directions on how to just do this.
