Hello everybody,

Can anyone tell me where I can find detailed info about changing the rear diff.?
In RAVE I could only find the procedure for taking the rear axle out....
What I need is some info about how to unbolt the axles from the diff. and the procedure to fix them onto the new diff.
Is this a straight forward procedure or does it require shims or anything?

Removing Rear Driveshafts and Hubs Etc. is Covered in Section 64-Rear Suspension. Removing the Diff Assy. is covered in Section 51-Rear Axle and Final Drive in Rave.That is assuming all versions of Rave use the same Section Numbers.

unbolt the hubs (leave brake disks on, remove calipers) and pull out.

remove propshaft

unbolt/remove diff.

reverse.

It's about 3 hours work including beer time..
