I read an interesting post on Landcruiser 80 series forum about how miles peoples trucks had done, the winner so far is a guy who has done about 400,000 miles in his!

Anyway

My L322 04 BMW 3.0D 79,000 miles
Landcruiser 80 series 4.2TD 180,000 miles :thumb:

mine's just run in at 80k. I've seen several in the ads at 160k+. Can anyone better that?

BMW engines are well known for their longevity if maintained correctly, as are ZF gearboxes as long as they have the occasional fluid change (every 80k according to ZF) I would hope to get to 250,000 before any major work is needed, but maybe that's just wishful thinking!

mines a 09/2002 td6 and has done 136000miles, it had a new differential on recall it didnt fail, for the rest no problems
