2016 Diesel HSE- 72,000, was fine until 71,000, had to replace a diesel filter-about 900 dollars!, all the warning lights came on a week later- told is was a broken wire for about 900 dollars!, then a week after message warning DEF is contaminated- its been in service a week but they are so backed up haven't gotten to it yet- regret keeping it so long though I gather this years aren't doing so well electronically.
The DEF quality message is a TSB from Land Rover. It should be a ECM update at no charge. There is no sensor for DEF fluid beyond it being low. The sensor that measures the output can determine if there is a problem but that is not the issue, its software.

For some reason the truck can talk to the Land Rover "mothership" in the UK and get some updates that pop up after many miles to send you to the dealership to spend some money.

BTW my 3.0 TD6 has 89,000 and the message popped up randomly at 87k. SO I had got the update and the free car wash!
